“I was skeptical at first. The cost of having an EOS coach and going through the process would take time and money that I was not fully comfortable with spending. However, after working with our EOS Coach Amy, I realized the real cost was in not doing EOS. Since we started working with Amy, our efficiency and productivity have increased dramatically.* Our Leadership Team is focused on their own goals but also have a greater understanding of how our work is interconnected. We have also set clear and achievable long term goals that have helped focus the team.

The staff has received EOS with open arms. They love knowing goals (both long term and 90 day goals). They are more clear on their roles, how they fit into our mission and what it takes to meet or exceed goals. The general sense is excitement around EOS implementation.

*An example of productivity is our Q3 goals vs our Q4 goals. On our Q3 goals list, we hit 46% of them by quarter end.  We had just begun to implement EOS.  As we have become more comfortable with the system, we are more efficient and focused. Now, with 8 weeks remaining in Q4, we’ve hit all of our 7 goals (which is a lot). And, all were achieved with better-than-expected outcomes.

There is an analogy used in EOS about a jar containing all one has to do at work. Rocks in the jar represent big goals, where pebbles and sand represent smaller goals or important minutae like emails or phone calls or forms to be filled out.  <<Insert better explanation>> I have found that anaolgy to be true and EOS has greatly assisted us in keeping the big goals (or rocks) front of mind and worked on them while still taking care of the day-to-day part of operations.”
